In 2023, the number of beaches awarded Blue Flags in Italy will increase to a total of 458. Sardinia confirmed last year’s record of 15 municipalities being awarded the Blue Flag for their beautiful beaches. The Blue Flag is an important international award given by the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education), which rewards water quality, sustainable tourism and the enhancement of natural areas.
Among the most appreciated beaches in Sardinia, numerous are those in Ogliastra that have received the award.
