The Arbatax Park Resort awarded at Venice Boat Show from E&MA, Enviromental & Mobility Association for the Best Eco Boat of the Mediterranean, with the historic boat «Stella».
The award is the merit for the skilful restoration of an iconic vassel of Peppino and Flavio, two local fishermen who in 1964 organized excursions for the guests of the resort. Not just any boat, because it also appeared in the masterpiece of Lina Wertmüller, “Travolti da un insolito destino nell’azzurro mare di agosto”, set in the Marine Park of Capo Monte Santo.
Stella, this is the original name of the boat, has been restored using timber from the trees of Bellavista Park, the nature reserve that houses the Arbatax Park Resort. Once renovated, the boat was equipped with a solar energy propulsion, which is alongside the traditional fuel.
The project was strongly supported and expertly managed by Giorgio Mazzella who entrusted to the Engineer Daniele Bossi, the processing of the technological part.
