Eco- sustainability

The electricity used in the Resort is produced in Italy and is largely green (i.e. solar energy and other sources of renewable energy). The Resort produces clean energy on-site, from a 100Kwh Photovoltaic system.

The domestic hot water is self-produced using clean energy, by means of a solar thermal system and a thermodynamic system, meeting the basic requirements of residences and restaurants. The system is the fruit of technology patented by a young Sardinian.

Electricity consumption is also kept low by using energy-saving lamps. Most of the lamps installed in the resort have class A and A+ energy efficiency.

In areas that require constant lighting, photoelectric receptors have been installed to control lighting with presence sensors and twilight detectors in order to save energy.

Linens and towels are changed only at the guests’ request, allowing us to save vast amounts of energy and water and reducing the use of detergents, as well as greenhouse gas emissions.

Transport

A bike rental service is available to guests, providing an alternative means of transport that reduces the need for cars. This, in turn, encourages guests to explore the land in an ecologically sustainable way. We also have two “Boboi”, a kind of lovely open-top bus from which you can enjoy the view and move around in the Resort without losing the pleasure of being outdoors in an unspoiled space.

The company that transfers guests arriving at the two main airports has, in the last few years, been upgrading its vehicles to state-of-the-art models. Upon arriving at the Resort, guests are accompanied to their rooms in electric vehicles and are encouraged to explore the peninsula by foot, taking advantage of all the scenic routes marked out in the park.

Ecology and environmental sustainability

The Resort has always been attentive when it comes to ecology and environmental sustainability, recycling a large amount of its waste.

Waste (paper, plastic, metal/aluminum and organic and food waste) is separated, recycled and disposed of appropriately, with over 80% of the waste being separated. Containers for separating paper, glass, plastic and mixed waste are available to guests in communal areas. Fruit and vegetable waste from the kitchen is used to feed the park animals. PET use has been significantly cut down with the aim of becoming plastic-free
