Arbatax Park Resort is beginning a new chapter in its history by entrusting operational management to the Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG), an international tourism group with Italian roots.
This is an important milestone, the result of a long-term agreement based on a shared vision and common values. The goal is to guide the resort’s evolution while constantly respecting the cultural identity and ecological sensitivity of the location.
Arbatax Park Resort was born and has grown in a unique setting: a peninsula of over 60 hectares, entirely within a protected natural park, in the heart of Ogliastra, one of the world’s five “Blue Zones.” This hospitality model, combining tourism and environmental conservation, has earned the Resort numerous international awards over the years, most recently in 2025, when it was named the Best Eco-Resort in the World.
The new operational management aligns fully with this path. The project developed by Giorgio and Angela Mazzella remains the fundamental reference, and the experience gained over more than thirty years of activity will continue to provide a solid foundation for the future.

The long-term partnership includes a comprehensive development, restyling, and repositioning program, with investments of approximately €30 million.
The Resort, with its 900 rooms across seven hotels, will be progressively modernized and repositioned according to Falkensteiner quality and service standards, while preserving the cultural identity and ecological sensitivity of the location.

In 2025, significant interventions were carried out, including the renovation of over 500 rooms in the Telis area. In 2026, the Resort will enter a new phase and be managed as a white label. By 2027, the four existing hotels – Ville del Parco, Telis, Dune, and Cottage – will be unified into a single entity, the “Club Funimation by Falkensteiner,” with 620 rooms and suites, offering a complete and innovative experience.
Borgo Cala Moresca will also undergo restyling, to be completed in time for reopening in May 2026. Future plans include, by 2028, the development of a Falkensteiner hotel with around 250 rooms, which will also include Monte Turri. Currently featuring 17 suites, Monte Turri will become the exclusive heart of the Borgo: a boutique hotel combining local roots, contemporary design, and Falkensteiner’s high service standards.
Integrated into the Cala Moresca environment but with its own identity, Monte Turri hotel will target an adult clientele seeking quality, tranquility, and privacy, offering a spectacular view of the Ogliastra coast from a unique perspective. With this offer, the Resort completes its portfolio with a premium lifestyle segment.
The identity of Arbatax Park Resort, its soul, deep connection with nature, and focus on sustainability remain central. The ongoing changes will not alter what makes this place unique but will strengthen its essence over time.
The goal is to progressively improve structures and services while fully respecting the environmental and cultural balance of the Resort.
