Every year Lanusei welcome all guests who love cherries and traditions, who don’t want to give up on the usual appointment with the Cherry Festival, part of “Primavera in Ogliastra ” program of events and this weekend will take place in the lovely scenery of Selene forest . The small mountain village is famous Ogliastra for the goodness of its cherries , which, thanks to the climate and to a particularly suitable terrain are considered among the best in Sardinia for their juiciness and their taste. The Cherry Festival every year becomes a “must” , a real tour between the old houses of the village to discover the cherries but also the typical Sardinian products of the local wine and food tradition. A convivial occasion, with concerts and folk performances , a party around the narrow streets of the village discovering the delicious red fruit , which you can hardly give up.
