Another triumph for Arbatax Park Resort, which confirms its position as a benchmark in international sustainable tourism. On the occasion of the prestigious Europe Gala Ceremony of the World Travel Awards 2025 (the Oscars of tourism), held on Wednesday, October 22 at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, the property obtained a double recognition as:
An extraordinary result marking the seventh consecutive victory in these two categories, confirming the resort’s pioneering vision and continuous environmental commitment.
Arbatax Park is not only a resort immersed in the beauty of Ogliastra, but also an open-air laboratory of virtuous practices. Among the many initiatives implemented for environmental protection, the following stand out: separate waste collection and recycling (glass, paper, organic), composting of waste, recovery of dry branches and rainwater, and the use of photovoltaic panels powering much of the facility.
But sustainability here goes beyond the ecological dimension: it is an integrated project with the territory and the people. Concrete examples include the periodic “Clean Up Arbatax” initiatives to clean the coasts and seabeds of waste and plastic, aboard the M/y Stella, an old fishing boat restored by the Mazzella group and equipped with electric propulsion engines, awarded as Best Eco‑Vessel of the Mediterranean at the Venice Boat Show.
Arbatax Park also promotes numerous cultural and sporting events that celebrate and enhance local heritage. Among these, the running races organized in the Bellavista Park and in the fishing village of Arbatax stand out, as well as gastronomic evenings such as “A chent’annos… a tavola!”, a journey into the traditional flavors of Ogliastra. This event, inspired by the recipes of the local centenarians, aims to reveal the ancient culinary traditions of one of the world’s five Blue Zones, where life expectancy is among the highest.
Strong attention also to music and art with the summer festival “InCantos”, which shines a spotlight on well-known and emerging Sardinian musicians.
After the European successes, Arbatax Park Resort is now also competing for the global titles of the World Travel Awards 2025. The property is currently nominated for:
In particular, the Garden of Wonders, inaugurated in 2022 within the resort, represents one of the most evocative creations: a sensory path through nature, wellness and meditation, dedicated to adults and children.
The voting for the global titles is currently open and will end on October 26.
