The Culurgionis d’Ogliastra have been recognized as PGI “Protected Geographical Identification”: a very important recognition of the brand, already assigned in 2016 by the Italian Ministry, definitely confirmed in 2018 by the European Union.
Culurgionis, also known as Culurgiones, are typical Sardinian ravioli made with potatoes, pecorino cheese and mint, closed in a shape reminiscent of the ear of wheat. According to the Ogliastra recipe, they are served with tomato sauce and grated cheese.
